YOUR BODY OF AWARENESS

A group that will give you the opportunity to discuss and explore new ways of being with your body and exploring the wisdom of your body in terms of self-support, self-acceptance, and awareness of what is happening now through body-relational therapy.
Your body never lies. Learn to track your body in the present moment through somatic movements, shifts in posture, sensations in your body and micro-movements. You will learn what this means to you and your feelings as you move through the world and the world moves through you. You will discover your brain-body connection and how to cultivate your own embodiment.
Meeting bi-weekly for four sessions we will discuss how your body can create new awareness that can be applied to your current lived life. This is a confidential group led by two Registered Psychotherapists trained in Gestalt and Somatic body relational therapy.
There will be a short pre-screen interview to assess if this group is a fit for you and where you are in your healing journey.

About Karen:
Karen Britt, RP, is a Gestalt and Somatic Psychotherapist. I trained at the
Gestalt Institute of Toronto and the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland with Jim
Kepner and Michael Clemens. I also trained with Ruella Frank at the New York
Institute of Somatic Counselling in somatic approaches and body-relational
therapy. I am also trauma-informed and have over 16 years of experience as a
Gestalt Psychotherapist.
Through my own personal experience, therapy has shown me that it can be life
changing because it is the recovery of lost feelings. I am passionate about bringing
healing to my client’s life. My approach is supportive, relational, compassionate,
gentle, and direct. I work with clients to co-create a space where self-exploration,
growth and healing are possible in dealing with your current issues. My hope is to
leave you with relational skills and self-awareness that will better serve you in
dealing with current life events and relationships. Being a witness to your
transformation is one of the greatest joys of my life.
